Call Of Duty: new weapons, Resurgence map and challenges, season 1 Warzone explodes everything

This is the big news this season: a brand new Resurgence map called Haven’s Hollow. Designed for quick but intense confrontations, it offers varied areas such as the Research Center, the Mansion, the Lumbermill or even a multi-level Riverboat.

The map retains the nervous spirit of Rebirth Island, while offering more space, better readability and careful design. Between its accessible roofs, its points of interest with generous loot and its references to Zombies maps, Haven’s Hollow ticks all the boxes to become a player favorite. Verdansk also returns with two new points of interest: Signal Station and a reworked version of Factory with environmental hazards and active missiles.

New modes, revisited matchmaking: Warzone is a game-changer

Each weekend of the season will bring an exclusive temporary mode. The first, Buyback Battle Royale, allows you to return to the game if you have enough money. Amped Battle Royale will follow, with increased base health for longer and more intense fights.

Week five will introduce a new, still mysterious Ultra Fast Resurgence mode. Meanwhile, a new “Open” matchmaking will be tested: the skill will no longer be prioritized, allowing all types of players to mix, except in Casual mode.

On the movement side, Tactical Sprint becomes a perk, Combat Roll makes its appearance and wall jumps are now authorized in temporary modes. A clear desire to make travel more fluid.

Weapons and equipment: a host of new features to unlock

Season 1 introduces an avalanche of unlockable weapons, such as the AK-27, the Peacekeeper MK1, and the X9 Maverick. Each category (SMG, AR, precision rifle, etc.) sees the appearance of new models with prestige attachments to unlock.

In terms of equipment, players will have access to new gadgets: Needle Drone, Phantom Signal, Pinpoint Grenade or even Echo Unit, a holographic decoy. The Stim Shot becomes strategic since it cancels the flash or concussion effects on impact.

Killstreaks and perks are also updated, with the introduction of Reactive Armor or the Adaptive perk, which boosts mobility when your plates are not full.

Rewards, challenges and cheats: what you need to activate today

By logging in with a verified email, players receive an exclusive “Veiled Aurora” weapon camo, double XP tokens, and an Operator skin. Weekly challenges also allow you to unlock the legendary Ballistic Knife or the new NX Ravager crossbow.

On the security side, the patch strengthens the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system with the obligation to activate TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to access the game. A PC verification tool is also planned for later in the season.

Between explosive new features, welcome balancing and the return of cult maps, this season 1 promises a breath of fresh air which should revive the dynamics of Warzone.
