The free TV broadcaster ProSieben MAXX announced today that it has secured the license for the first season of “Oshi no Ko” and will soon broadcast it as a German TV premiere. We summarize.
TV premiere in January 2026
The first “Oshi no Ko” season will be shown on ProSieben MAXX every Friday evening from around 10:00 p.m. from January 9th, 2026. The individual episodes will then be available free of charge for a limited time in the media library on Joyn.
The Doga Kobo studio was responsible for producing the eleven-episode first season, with Daisuke Hiramaki (“Selection Project”) directing. Ciao Nekotomi (“Shikimori”) acted as Chief Director.
The anime adaptation of “Oshi no Ko” so far includes two seasons, which can be streamed on AKIBA PASS TV, Netflix and Prime Video. The third season will run in simulcast on Crunchyroll from January 14, 2026 with German subtitles.
