PS Plus drops below $9 per month for Black Friday 2025, take advantage

Black Friday is only a few days away, but at PlayStation the discounts have already started. And this year, it’s PS Plus subscriptions that benefit from the biggest discounts. Until December 5, 2025, it is possible to subscribe to the Premium subscription for 107.19 dollars instead of 159.99. That works out to less than $9 per month, an exceptional rate for PlayStation’s most comprehensive service.

“Subscribe to the most comprehensive PS Plus offer for 12 months between now and December 5, 2025 and get 33% off Premium.” An offer that especially appeals to new subscribers, but also to existing and current subscribers who wish to upgrade to a higher plan. The promotional rate even places Premium below the monthly price of Essential, although presented as the most accessible option.

Extra or Essential: which formula to choose according to your needs?

For those who don’t want to commit to a full year with Premium, other options are also discounted. The Extra subscription is offered at $101.24 instead of $134.99. “That’s less than $8.50 per month, so again, cheaper than the Essential subscription.” A great deal for those who want access to the PS4 and PS5 library without the cloud gaming features.

Essential, for its part, remains at its usual price but paradoxically becomes the least interesting formula in view of the current reductions. Remember that the Premium subscription gives access to all the benefits of lower levels, in addition to retro classics, cloud streaming and compatibility with PlayStation Portal.

Until December 5: who can benefit from these reductions?

The -33% Premium promotion also concerns existing subscribers… under certain conditions. If you are already subscribed to another plan and your subscription has not yet ended, you can upgrade to Premium for the remaining time and benefit from the discount for this period. However, no discount applies if you are already a Premium subscriber.

If you are on an automatically renewing monthly subscription, savings will be limited to none. But some smart users are considering temporarily upgrading to Premium at a reduced price before December 5, then going down to a lower plan to take advantage of the offer twice. A little sleight of hand which will not fail to interest the most informed subscribers.
