There are those who take Triple H every game. And then there are the others, those who want All unblock. If you are part of this second category, WWE 2K25 will keep you busy for a while. With nearly 200 hidden superstars spread across Shop, MyRise, MyFaction and The Island modes, you have to find your way around.
Available on consoles and PC, WWE 2K25 allows you to unlock classic wrestlers, legendary variants and iconic managers like Paul Bearer or Jimmy Hart. And good news: everything is doable without paying, provided you know the right sequences.
Unlock via the in-game store (Store)
Shop mode offers 80 wrestlers to purchase with virtual currency (VC). Each character costs 1000 VC, a fixed price regardless of the level or rarity of the wrestler. There we find historical figures like André the Giant, Rick Rude, Shawn Michaels (in three variations), or even Bray Wyatt and his demonic double.
Please note: managers like Paul Bearer or Sherri are also available in this mode, which allows you to further personalize exhibition or simulation matches.
The Store therefore remains the quickest method to expand your roster, provided you play enough to collect the necessary credits.
Unlock via MyRise mode
MyRise mode requires more commitment. To unlock certain characters, you will have to complete entire story arcs, sometimes several times, and accumulate stars in Live events.
Here are some examples of conditions:
- R-Truth (Judgment Day): Obtain 210 stars.
- Odyssey Rift: 140 stars.
- Hector Flores: 132 stars.
- Josie Jane: Choose “Recruit Independent Wrestlers” and finish the corresponding story.
Some wrestlers also require specific choices during a second pass through the scenario. This is the case of Rhea Ripley ’17 and ’20 or even Stardust, unlocked via the “Rally” option with Cody Rhodes.
In other words: impossible to unlock everything in a single game. You will have to start over at least twice, with different decisions.
Unlock via MyFaction and The Island
MyFaction mode offers special cards to collect. Some are obtained via Live events, others via series of packs, such as the Demastered Packs or the Sinister series.
Notable examples:
- AJ Styles (Demastered): Found in Demastered Packs.
- CM Punk ’10 (hidden): Live event required.
- Elite Cody Rhodes: all the World Tour New York cards.
- The Rock ’24: Punches & Promos pack.
Also note: some special editions of the game include wrestlers like Elite Jey Uso or Roman Reigns ’13, accessible only via the “Bloodline Edition” or the “Deadman Edition”.
Finally, the new mode The Island offers its share of unlockable characters via quests or chapters. For example :
- Cody Rhod35-BOT: Completed Chapter 3.
- Nikki Cross ’20: Complete “This is a friendship that will never ever end.”
- Roman Reigns ’19: validated in chapter 4.
This content alternates between nostalgia and pure originality (Prime Bottle mascot or Cody android), and allows you to go further than the main roster.
