Xbox Game Pass: games already confirmed in December 2025 and those expected for the holidays

While November 2025 has already spoiled Xbox Game Pass subscribers with titles like Football Manager 26, Voidtrain, Winterburrow or even Call of Duty Black Ops 7Microsoft continues its momentum with a new round of games for December. Four titles have been confirmed for the first two weeks, and more could be added to the list as the holidays approach.

Unsurprisingly, the Redmond firm continues to expand its offering on PC, console and cloud, while maintaining a clever balance between blockbusters, ambitious narrative games, independent concepts and fun multiplayer experiences. For players, it’s the assurance of ending the year with great discoveries… and a few sleepless nights.

Four games confirmed for early December 2025

From December 1st, gamers who love action will be able to let off steam with Marvel Cosmic Invasion. This beat’em up by Tribute Games (known for their work on Shredder’s Revenge) propels us into a retro 2D universe where Marvel superheroes engage in frenetic fights. The graphic style evokes arcade machines, with a modern touch, and the gameplay promises immediate cooperative fun.

December 2, change of register. With Lost Records: Bloom & Ragethe creators of Life is Strange deliver a new narrative experience centered on emotions and memories. The game relies on atmosphere, dialogue and moral choices to immerse the player in a strong story, with a cast of new characters. Available on all Game Pass plans, it could well become one of the favorites of the month.

On December 4, the tone becomes darker with Routinea first-person science fiction horror game developed by Lunar Software. Initially announced in 2012, the game disappeared from the radar for a decade before resurfacing in 2022. It takes place in an abandoned space station where danger is everywhere. Its heavy atmosphere, its elaborate sound design and its exploration mechanics make it a serious contender for thrill-seekers.

Finally, on December 9, Dome Keeper will awaken the strategist soul that lies dormant in you. An effective mix of tower defense and mining, the game requires you to protect a dome against waves of enemies while harvesting resources beneath the surface. Already praised during its initial release in 2022, this title signed Bippinbits and published by Raw Fury finally arrives on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC players.

Potential stocks to watch closely

If Microsoft has not yet formalized other releases dated beyond December 9, several games appear in the Game Pass forecasts for “winter 2025”. Nothing therefore prevents us from thinking that they could join the service before Christmas. Among them, three titles particularly stand out.

Sleight of Hand already intriguing with its original concept: a game combining infiltration, black magic and deckbuilding. Each card represents an action, a trick or a power, to be played in semi-open levels. The mix promises clashes that are as tactical as they are stylized.

Tanuki: Pon’s Summer takes the complete opposite with its summery and relaxed atmosphere. The player takes on the role of a tanuki on a BMX bike in a colorful open world. Exploration, mini-games and a contemplative atmosphere are on the program, in a visual style very inspired by rural Japan.

Finally, Ultimate Sheep Raccoon serves as a spiritual sequel to Ultimate Chicken Horsegreat multiplayer success. We find the same cooperative platform mechanics, enhanced with new characters, wacky levels and crazy objects. A safe bet for evenings with friends, if it arrives in time for the holidays.

A clear strategy before the new year

Beyond the titles themselves, Microsoft’s strategy for the end of the year is clear: offer a varied offering that combines strong storytelling, arcade gameplay, horrific tension and multiplayer fun. Xbox Game Pass is thus positioned as the reference service for exploring different video game experiences at no additional cost.

Between the confirmed releases and those that we still hope for, December 2025 could well mark a high point in the recent history of the service. Enough to give subscribers a good reason to stay connected, controller in hand, until December 31… and beyond.
