It’s Sony who decides, not NCSoft
If Horizon: Steel Frontiers isn’t coming out on PS5, it’s not NCSoft’s fault. This is what the publisher wanted to remind the 4Gamer site in an interview, specifying that even if he would like to offer a PS5 version of his MMO, he is not the one who can make these kinds of decisions. Understand that this wish therefore comes from Sony :
“ We would like to do it [sortir le jeu sur PS5] but this is not something we can decide alone, so we want to continue discussions in this direction. »
A very visible appeal which shows that the problem comes from elsewhere, but that discussions could always lead to something. We imagine that Sony would first prefer to give way to Guerilla Games’ game here, but in the event of great success of the MMO, who knows what the future will hold for us (we won’t really bet on it).
Today, Horizon: Steel Frontiers is only planned for PC, iOS and Android, at a date still unknown.
