Xbox Game Pass reaches a symbolic milestone with its 200th game of the year

Sometimes it just takes a mouse to make history. On November 12, 2025, Microsoft has discreetly reached a milestone with the arrival of Winter Burrow in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. The independent game developed by Pine Creek Games and published by Noodlecake officially becomes the 200th title added to the service this year.

Winter Burrow falls into the category of cozy games: a seemingly peaceful adventure, but full of emotion. The player plays a mouse determined to restore his old childhood burrow, while searching for his missing aunt. The whole thing takes place in a snowy forest, with careful 2D artistic direction and an atmosphere conducive to introspection. This title, which runs under the Unity engine, is available today on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

An accelerated pace of publications in 2025

The arrival of Winter Burrow follows that of Relic Hunters Legendanother notable new feature this month. Together, they increase the total number of new games added to Xbox Game Pass since January 1, 2025 to 200. An impressive figure, especially when we remember that on average, the service only welcomes “around 150 titles per year”.

This pace suddenly accelerated on October 1, with the surprise integration of 48 games, simultaneously with an increase in the price of the subscription. A decision which aroused as much criticism as enthusiasm, and which now seems better digested by subscribers, given the volume of games available.

A clear strategy to appeal to all player profiles

For now, Winter Burrow is accessible only on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but it should “reach the Premium level of the service between May and November 2026”, according to the latest indications from Microsoft. The game thus completes the already well-stocked cozy offering of the service and continues to broaden its spectrum of video game experiences.

Microsoft seems to be banking on diversity to strengthen the attractiveness of Game Pass: blockbusters, indies, retro games, narrative or competitive experiences. The first wave of November will conclude this Friday, November 14 with the arrival of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. To follow Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vaultexpected on November 19 after a month of postponement. Until then, the 200th game of the year occupies a very special place in a strategy which aims to be more massive and accessible than ever.
