A mysterious map, a special event and new challenges
In this “North Line” update, you are invited to explore Stella Montis, a former research facility nestled in the mountains, described as “cold, barren, and shrouded in mystery. But access to this area will not be immediate: “Breaking New Ground” community event will begin on patch dayrequiring players to collectively contribute to rebuilding the tunnels leading to Stella Montis to unlock it.
Alongside this new map, two opposing machines will enter : the formidable Matriarch, accessible from the event under certain conditions, and the enemy exclusive to Stella Montis, the Shredder.
Among the announced contents, we also have:
- New equipment items
- Rare weapon blueprints to discover in the ruins
- A series of thematic quests dedicated to the new area
Upstream, the roadmap unveiled by Embark already foresees the arrival, in December 2025, of the “Cold Snap” updatewhich will include a map modifier with falling snow, a new “Flickering Flames” event and other free content for everyone. Also note that update 1.2.0 offers several technical adjustments and fixes : reduced network latency, fixes to blocked quests, improved interaction with caches, etc.
