Steam is offering 4 free games this weekend, but not all are equal

As of November 7, 2025, Steam users can claim four titles without spending a cent. But even free, are these games worth spending your precious free time on? Thanks to the X (ex-Twitter) Free Steam Games account, these new features were spotted in time to fill your weekend with controller in hand. Here’s what you need to know.

Rocrasher, Guns&Sodas, V.START, Sunday School: which free Steam titles are trying this week?

First on the list: Rocrashera 2D platform game from Rock Head Studio. A sort of crazy cross between Katamari Damacy and Angry Pigs, the principle is simple: you are a giant rock and you must crush everything in your path. It’s cute, a bit disturbing, but it works. The original author of the test confides: “Basic might be an understatement, but I think this game has a certain charm.”

In a completely different retro register, V.STARTdeveloped by OwenOak95, evokes the ZX Spectrum titles of the 80s. Garish pixels, brutal difficulty and guaranteed nostalgic atmosphere. It won’t appeal to everyone, but those who like this kind of challenge may love it.

Change of atmosphere with Guns&Sodasan arcade roguelite designed by Marco Biscetti. Visually striking, with stylized animations and punchy music, this unpretentious little game catches the eye. The tone is set from the start: “This one looks like it was made in the lab especially for me.” Even if its lifespan is short, it seems worth a look: “I don’t think you can play it for more than a few hours, but I still think it’s worth a try.”

Finally, Sunday Schoolby Artur Latkovsky, focuses on anxiety with a psychological horror game with unique graphics. It is also the only one of the four to benefit from a predominantly positive opinion on Steam. “75% of reviewers think it’s worth a try, so I’m not going to contradict the general opinion.”

Immediate download or simple curiosity? What to remember

These four free games available on Steam each offer a different experience, between pixelated nostalgia, nervous roguelite and stylized horror. Although not all of them are masterpieces, their free nature makes it tempting to try. But be quick: as is often the case on the platform Valvethese offers can disappear in the blink of an eye.
