A PS Play Anywhere?
It was while searching the PlayStation Network that Amethxst was able to find strange symbols, including one which directly mentions “cross-buy”, in other words being able to buy a game on one platform to also enjoy it on another. Something that we find at Xbox, but not at PlayStation, given that the latter’s PC strategy is not yet as advanced.
Insider billbil-kun from Dealabs verified the authenticity of this leak and can attest that this symbol really exists on the PlayStation Network (since June 2025), as if it had been put in place to prepare something. The “crossbuy-tag” would also appear in some PlayStation Store CSS files. And to all this is added an icon representing the PS5 and the PCwhich could therefore easily be associated with the notion of cross-buy, since it is in any case the only other platform on which Sony wants to release games apart from its PS5.
Perhaps this is just preparing the ground for the distant future, unless the manufacturer really decides to give us the possibility of purchasing games at once to enjoy them on PC and PS5.
