The series is in great shape
Konami shared some good news via a video relayed by Gematsu. We then learn that Silent Hill 2 Remake now has 2.5 million copies distributed since its release, i.e. 500,000 more than last January. We therefore see that sales are slowing down a little and that the audience for the series remains limited, but there is still an appetite for the license.
The latter even exceeds 10 million games sold since its debut thanks to Silent Hill 2 Remake. And we can only say that Konami was right to relaunch the saga, since it only took two games to generate a third of the series’ sales, proof that it now has a future. Future which will first result in a remake of the first silent Hill at Bloober Team, in addition to other projects in preparation.
