GTA 6: the map would be almost three times larger than that of GTA 5, fans are hallucinating

The comparisons between GTA 5 and the much awaited GTA 6 intensify as the release of the new part approaches. And if fan estimates are to be believed, the card for the next title of Rockstar Games would be gigantic – almost three times larger than Los Santos and San Andreas combined.

While GTA 6 must come out in eight monthsplayers continue to dissect the smallest images of the trailers. In the absence of an official map, the community built its own version from the clips broadcast by Rockstar. The result: a map 2.7 times larger than that of GTA 5according to a calculation published on Reddit by user anli2132. Even without the famous “panhandle”-shaped extension, it would remain 2.4 times larger.

A map still mysterious, but already titanic

Fans quickly reacted to this estimate, divided between excitement and caution. “I really hope that we only know half of it, and the map is much richer than what we have seen,” comments one of them, intrigued by the areas still invisible.
Another added: “Because so far the mapping project really perplexes me. I don’t know how unexplored the other areas are, if Rockstar does a good job of hiding it, or if it just doesn’t exist. »

Some believe that the current map only shows a fraction: “I’m sure we don’t know more than 50-60% of the map yet. This has all been speculation, leaks, and the mapping has been done with the information available so far. »

In other words, players are expecting a more comprehensive map, perhaps extending northward to areas inspired by Florida, Atlanta or Montgomery.

A card designed to last

Comparisons already show Vice City to the southeast, slightly smaller than Los Santosbut probably more dense and detailed in the final version. For GTA Online fans, the idea of such a vast world also opens the door to new activities: “I can’t wait to discover the online missions that force us to drive a terribly slow vehicle from the top of the map to the bottom,” jokes a player on Reddit.

While waiting for an official map, Rockstar Games remains silent, fueling curiosity and speculation. If the estimates are confirmed, GTA 6 could well become the largest open-world ever designed by the studio.
