A physical edition could also see the light of day
You will very soon be able to find the adventures of journalist Nico Collard and his sidekick George Stobbart in The Knights of Baphomet: The Shields of Quetzalcoatl – Reforged (also called Broken Sword – The Smoking Mirror: Reforged), which will give a polish to the second game in this saga.
A remaster in line with that of the first opus, with a redesign to display 4K, but also work on the audio and in particular the game’s soundtrack, help for those who quickly get annoyed, automatic saves, as well as bonus content such as secrets to unlock at the end of the game. And if you don’t like it, you can always switch back to the original experience in an instant.
The Knights of Baphomet: The Shields of Quetzalcoatl is scheduled for release in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. The studio plans to open a Kickstarter campaign shortly to help it achieve the release of a physical version of the game, presumably a collector’s edition.
