New details about the release of the second season were announced today on the official X account of the anime adaptation of “Aoashi”. There is also a new visual that you can check out later in this article.
Starting in October 2026
The broadcast of the second “Aoashi” season begins on October 4, 2026 with the twelve-part first episode. A second course with another twelve episodes has already been confirmed. It is still unclear whether the new episodes will run on Japanese television for six months without a break.
The studio TMS Entertainment is responsible for the production, replacing Production IG. Kazuki Yokoyama (episode director for “YAIBA”) is directing and Masahiro Yokotani (“Makeine”) is writing the screenplay.
The streaming service Crunchyroll offers all 24 episodes of the first season, which ran in simulcast from April to September 2022, with a German language version and in the original Japanese audio with German subtitles on demand.
