After “One Piece”: “My Hero Academia” also promotes Japan’s World Cup mission

The Japanese national soccer team is continuing its collaborations with well-known anime franchises just under a week before the start of the 2026 World Cup. We summarize below.

Another campaign

After a collaboration with “One Piece” was announced just a few days ago, another campaign with “My Hero Academia” follows, in which the series characters Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Shota Aizawa and Hawks appear in the official jerseys for the 2026 World Cup.

Appropriately, the well-known slogan “Go Beyond, Plus Ultra” is used, which is intended to underline the connection between the ambitions of the national team and the ideals of the heroes from “My Hero Academia”.

In addition to the illustration, several exclusive fan articles were presented. Highlights include the official adidas replica jerseys, which feature the names of the five characters and feature the anime’s 10th anniversary logo. We have included some images of the products for you below.

Aside from the collaboration with My Hero Academia, adidas has confirmed that Japanese singer Ado has been selected as a creative partner for the official World Cup jersey and will compose an exclusive song.

The anime adaptation of “My Hero Academia” consists of eight seasons, of which the first seven seasons are already available on DVD and Blu-ray. A new short film called “I Am A Hero Too” is currently in the works.
