Sci-fi drama “GIGANT” is getting an anime adaptation


The Japanese production company K2 Pictures announced today that the manga series “GIGANT” will receive an anime adaptation. We summarize.

The anime adaptation is a film that will be released in Japanese cinemas at an as yet undisclosed date. The participants in the production are also yet to be announced. We’ll keep you updated.

K2 Pictures is involved in financing the project and is also officially celebrating its entry into the anime business with »GIGANT« after the company entered into a partnership with studio MAPPA in May 2024.

»GIGANT« is based on the manga series of the same name by Hiroya Oku (“Gantz”), which was published in ten volumes in Japan between December 2017 and September 2021. In this country, Panini’s work is published with a German translation.
