The streaming service Crunchyroll surprisingly no longer has the anime adaptation of “86 EIGHTY-SIX” in its program as of today. We summarize.
All episodes removed
Currently, searching for “86 EIGHTY-SIX” on Crunchyroll only leads to a 404 error page. What is noticeable, however, is that it looks different than series that were previously available. For example, in the case of “Izetta, The Last Witch,” a notice appears stating that the episodes are no longer included in the catalog.
The fact that the anime can still be seen via the Crunchyroll channel on Prime Video currently indicates a technical problem. However, without an official statement from Crunchyroll, one can only speculate. (Addendum from 7:25 p.m: All episodes have now also been removed from Prime Video.)
The series originally ran in simulcast between April and June 2021 and from October 2021 to March 2022. The international licensing rights are held by Aniplex, a subsidiary of Sony, which also has a stake in Crunchyroll.
In November 2024, »86 EIGHTY-SIX« was released in a complete box on Blu-ray, before a limited steelbook edition went on sale in November 2025.
