During an event for video game executives, the boss of Take-Two InteractiveStrauss Zelnick, has set the bar at a level rarely seen. Its XXL promise immediately sparked a wave of theories around the third trailer. It remains to be seen what exactly this announced “spectacle” hides, and especially when it will happen.
GTA 6 trailer 3: what does Take-Two really promise players?
In front of investors, quoted by IGN and ScreenRant, Strauss Zelnick explained that the objective of GTA 6 is to deliver “the most spectacular work of entertainment in history on Earth”, admitting that it is “a pretty daunting challenge”. For him, “if we succeed and if we serve our players, the rest will follow”. Said in this context, it is not a simple slogan: the GTA 6 trailer 3 must embody this promise, after a first record trailer on YouTube and a trailer 2 already exceeding 130 million views.
Third GTA 6 trailer: what could this show look like?
Observers agree that the third trailer will serve as a pivot to the real gameplay. We expect to see Jason and Lucia in action, driving around the state of Leonida, staged heists and a Vice City more alive than ever. On Reddit, a fan sums up the general state of mind: “Every big Rockstar game is a new opus (…) I’m ready.” A former Rockstar artist, cited by GamesRadar, recalls, however, that these trailers are “insanely polished” and that the final game will not be a frame-by-frame copy and paste.
GTA 6 trailer 3: what possible dates and what should fans watch for?
Officially, GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PS5 And Xbox Series. The next earnings call Take Two will take place on May 21, 2026, and many recall that trailer 2 was released on May 6, 2025, a few days before a previous call to investors. First credible scenario therefore: a new GTA 6 trailer in May, just before this financial meeting, potentially accompanied by the opening of pre-orders at major resellers.
Second scenario mentioned by several media: a trailer 3 in the middle of summer 2026, aligned with the launch of the marketing campaign and approximately three months before the release. As of yet, none of this is confirmed. Strauss Zelnick, however, repeats his “extraordinary confidence” in the November date, and some players are already joking that “we will have to take a day off” to lock ourselves in on Grand Theft Auto VI from day 1.
