Pokémon ZA is offering a new wave of free downloads for April, go for it!

Pokémon Legends: ZA Season 9 of Ranked Battles: what’s happening in April 2026?

There Ranked Fight Season 9 of Pokémon ZA is held in France from April 2, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. At April 23, 2026 at 3:59 a.m.. For just over three weeks, you face other players in a 4-player Battle Royale, with all Pokémon automatically brought back to level 50.

The rules remain simple: Legendary and Fabulous Pokémon are prohibited, but all others from the Illumis and Extra-Illumis Pokédexes are authorized. No duplicate Pokémon or items. And above all, key condition for your free downloads: play at least one ranked fight, victory or defeatis enough to be eligible for seasonal rewards.

What free downloads does Pokémon ZA Ranked Battle Season 9 offer?

At the end of the season, you will be able to download a free bundle of items based on your final rank. At the top of the table, the rank A gives 3 Gold Capsules5 Capsules, 3 Seeds Mastery and 1 Maxi Nugget. The ranks B to E offer 2 Gold Capsules, 3 Capsules, 2 Mastery Seeds and 2 Nuggets, while the ranks F to I still guarantee 1 Gold Capsule, 2 Capsules, 1 Mastery Seed and 2 Nuggets.

The ranks J to M receive 1 Capsule, 1 Mastery Seed and 2 Nuggets, the ranks N to R a Mastered Seed plus a Nugget or Maxi Nugget, and even the ranks S to Z collect at least one Nugget. Concretely, Gold Capsules are used to hyper-train a Pokémon’s IVs, Mastery Seeds strengthen its styles and abilities, and Nuggets are pure cash to resell to buy other rare items.

At the same time, Season 9 reissues the Mega Gems already distributed in seasons 5 to 7. By climbing to ranks S to Y, you can get your hands on the Brasegalite, Laggronite, Jungkite, Glaivodite, Blindepiquite, Goupelinite And Amphinolite for Braségali, Laggron, Jungko, Baxcalibur, Blindépique, Goupelin and Amphinobi. Pokémon HOME 4.0, alpha starters and Mega Gems: how to take advantage of all the ZA gifts in April?

On April 2, Pokémon HOME goes into version 4.0.0 after scheduled maintenance overnight, and becomes compatible with Pokémon Legends: ZA. Be careful, however: a Pokémon imported from an old game to ZA will no longer be able to return to its original title, and a Pokémon transferred from ZA to HOME will not be transferable to old games.

To trigger the new free downloads, update HOME on Switch and mobile, then transfer at least one Pokémon caught in ZA to HOME on the console side. By then opening HOME on mobile and going through the Mystery Gift menu, you will receive three exclusive alpha starters for free: Chikorita alpha, Tepig alpha And Alpha Totodilewhich you can then use in compatible games.

The icing on the cake is that some Pokémon obtained in ZA, such as Blindepic, Goupelin, Amphinobi or Eternal Form Floette, can be sent via HOME to Pokémon Champions to unlock their Mega Gems for free. Between ZA Battle Club Season 9 and the HOME bonuses, April offers enough goodies to justify an express return to Illumis before the morning of April 23.
