ARC Raiders rolls out massive update with major changes

ARC Raiders players won’t have to wait long before seeing a new round of content land. On March 31, 2026, ARC Raiders welcomes a major update called Flashpoint, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Deployed by Embark Studios, this update is part of a well-defined roadmap for the first half of 2026. After Headwinds in January and Shrouded Sky in February, Flashpoint marks a new stage before the arrival of Riven Tides, announced as the most ambitious.

ARC Raiders Flashpoint, an update that enriches the content and challenges

Flashpoint introduces a new map condition called Close Scrutiny. In this mode, players must collect loot while facing not only other Raiders, but also a heavy presence of ARC enemies.

One of the major additions is based on the arrival of a new adversary: the Vaporizer. This type of flying ARC is distinguished by its particularly powerful laser attacks and unpredictable behavior, making it an immediate threat on the ground.

At the same time, some existing enemies are gaining presence. The Shredder, previously limited to a specific area, can now appear on several maps, although its appearance remains conditional.

New weapons, improved loot and gameplay adjustments

The update also introduces two new weapons, as well as an improvement to the Scrappy, already well known to players. The loot system has been reworked, with an increase in the value of items in locked rooms and a better frequency of appearance on certain enemies.

A notable change also concerns free equipment. Players who create their own configurations now have a greater chance of being placed on newer servers, which changes the balance of the games. These adjustments are accompanied by improvements related to crafting and progression, making it possible to recycle certain items and obtain useful resources more easily.

Reinforced enemies and increased difficulty

If players gain more possibilities, ARC enemies also become more formidable. Rocketeers, for example, take collisions better and are no longer instantly destroyed when stunned. The overall behavior of enemies also changes. The time required to detect a nearby player has been reduced, making encounters faster and more intense.

These adjustments reinforce the tension specific to the game, where each mistake can be costly, especially in an environment where other players can intervene at any time.

Technical fixes and overall experience improvements

Flashpoint isn’t just about adding content. Many fixes have been made to improve stability and fluidity. Animations have been reworked, particularly during movements and sprint transitions. The audio system has also benefited from adjustments, with improved clarity of directional sounds and a reduction in latency.

Technical optimizations have been deployed to improve performance, particularly on more modest configurations. Several bugs affecting gameplay, maps and even the interface have also been corrected.
