Call of Duty fans immediately recognized the wink. A few days before the launch of Season 3 of Black Ops 7, a simple teaser published by Treyarch was enough to reignite nostalgia around a legendary Black Ops 2 map.
Scheduled for April 2, 2026 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, this new season promises to be particularly rich. But it is above all the possible return of Plaza, absent for more than a decade, which attracts all the attention of the players.
Black Ops 7 Season 3: Treyarch teases the return of Plaza
It all starts from an enigmatic image published by Treyarch Studios. There we discover a modernized version of the Luna club, an emblematic place on the Plaza map. Accompanied by a short but meaningful sentence: “Want to try?”
For Black Ops 2 players, the reference is immediate. This line directly echoes the song “Imma Try It Out” by Skrillex, played in the nightclub on the original card. Even though Treyarch hasn’t officially confirmed Plaza’s return, the clues seem too specific to ignore. Everything suggests that this cult card will be integrated from the launch of Season 3.
A cult Black Ops 2 map at the heart of the new season
Introduced in 2012, Plaza remains one of the most notable maps in Black Ops 2. Located on a floating resort in the Indian Ocean, it stands out for its three-lane design, intense close-quarters combat and sniper duels on the central balconies. If this return is confirmed, Plaza would be added to a long list of remasters already present in Black Ops 7, such as Nuketown, Slums, Standoff and Grind.
However, Season 3 will not be limited to this single map. Like every major updateplayers can expect new game modes, new weapons, and a Battle Pass filled with cosmetic content. As for Warzone, this new season should also bring its share of new features, following on from the recently introduced Black Ops Royale mode.
