THQ Nordic announces the release of several major games on Nintendo Switch consoles

Difficult to keep up. The Nintendo Switch 2 has barely been launched when the announcements are already coming one after the other. This March 18, 2026, publisher THQ Nordic confirmed the arrival of several games on Nintendo consoles, with a strategy that mixes new releases and well-known ports.

On the program, four titles are concerned, with releases divided between the original Nintendo Switch and its successor. A decision which perfectly illustrates Nintendo’s current direction: quickly enriching its catalog, even if this involves games already available elsewhere.

What THQ Nordic games are coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

In detail, three games will appear on the Nintendo Switch 2:

  • Destroy All Humans!
  • Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed
  • Disney’s Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

These titles do not arrive completely in uncharted territory. They were already available on the first Nintendo Switch, which confirms a strong trend: the Switch 2 recovers a large part of the existing catalog.

At the same time, another game follows the opposite path. SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, initially released in November 2025 on the new console, will now be accessible on the classic Nintendo Switch. A choice far from trivial, which aims not to leave out the millions of players still equipped with the old generation.

Nintendo is wasting no time building its catalogeven if it means relying heavily on its recent past.
