And there you have it, Pearl Abyss has finally decided to give some information on the console version of Crimson Desertand with a week to go before the release, it was high time. The studio thus confirms that there will be two main modes, namely Performance and Quality, with a third intermediate on the Sony console if you have a 120Hz screen and an HDMI 2.1 connection. Here are the console specifics of Crimson Desert :

  • PS5 :
    • Performance: 1080p/60 fps (+60 fps in case of VRR)/low ray-tracing
    • Balanced: 4K upscaled from 1280p, FS3/40 FPS/low ray-tracing
    • Quality: 4K upscaled from 1440p, FSR3/30 FPS/low ray-tracing
  • PS5 Pro :
    • Performance: 4K upscaled from 1080P/60 fps (+60 fps in case of VRR)/High ray-tracing
    • Balanced: 4K upscaled from 1440p/40 fps (48 fps in case of VRR)/High ray-tracing
    • Quality: 4K/30 fps/Ultra ray tracing
  • Xbox Series :
    • Performance: 1080p/60 fps (+60 fps in case of VRR)/low ray-tracing
    • Balanced: 4K upscaled from 1280p, FS3/40 FPS/low ray-tracing
    • Quality: 4K upscaled from 1440p, FSR3/30 FPS/low ray-tracing
  • Xbox Series S :
    • Performance: 720p/40 fps
    • Quality: 1080p/30 fps

We therefore notice that the Xbox Series S is starting to seriously struggle here, while the PS5 Pro will logically be the best machine to make the most of the game.

  • Low (1080p/30fps) :
    • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660
