Design of the ninth Blu-ray box of “Detective Conan”


In a few weeks Crunchyroll will release the ninth box of “Detective Conan” on Blu-ray. In keeping with this, the packaging design has now been revealed, which you can see further down in this article.

Release in May 2026

The ninth volume of “Detective Conan” is expected to be available on Blu-ray from May 1, 2026. This includes episodes 231 to 254 with German and Japanese language options and can already be pre-ordered. Before that, the eighth box with episodes 207 to 230 will hit store shelves on March 6, 2026.

The popular mystery series, which has been broadcast on Japanese television since January 1996 and now includes over 1,190 episodes, is directed by Kenji Kodama (“City Hunter”) at the TMS Entertainment studio.

The VoD service Crunchyroll has the first 533 episodes with German language versions in its program and has been showing the anime in simulcast with German subtitles since the 1178th episode. The 29th film will premiere in Japan on April 10, 2026.

The 17-year-old amateur detective Shin’ichi Kudo is returned to the form of an elementary school student by a mysterious poison. Despite his childlike body, he continues to investigate, hides his true identity and, in the background, helps private detective Kogoro Mori to solve tricky criminal cases.
