Final Fantasy VII returns in a new version on Steam and GOG with some improvements

Extra comfort with accelerated mode

This new version of Final Fantasy VII returns today on Steam as well as on GOG, and it brings with it a few elements that will make your life easier. For example, we are talking about a option to disable random combatwhich is a godsend for those who simply want to wander around the different maps without interruption.

There is also a comfort option allowing you to regenerate life points and MP during fights, while easily increasing your Limit gauge to chain Omnislashes. Another interesting option, that concerning x3 accelerated mode. If you already know the game by heart and some fights are too long for you, you can pick up the pace. This also makes it possible to boost movement, and to go through certain sequences more quickly. Finally, this version also has automatic backups.

If you already have the 2013 version in your library, the upgrade here will be free, and you will have access to both versions. Note, however, that backups will be separated between each version.
