Resident Evil Requiem offered for free before its release, here’s who can get it and how



Capcom is hitting hard as the release of Resident Evil Requiem approaches. The new episode of the horror saga is available digitally on Steam for all gamers who purchase an eligible NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics card. An attractive offer for those who were planning to boost their PC.

A marketing operation designed for the launch

Launched on February 10, this promotion is valid for a limited time. It also includes select laptops and desktops equipped with GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs. Upon purchase, the user receives a code to activate through the NVIDIA app to download Resident Evil Requiem on Steam.

On the technical side, the PC version of the game promises to be the most advanced, integrating the latest technologies from NVIDIA, such as DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and the Super Resolutionguaranteeing a smooth, crisp and immersive experience. According to the first demo videos published by NVIDIA, this edition could well be the graphical reference of the game at the time of its release.

A return to Raccoon City 30 years later

The plot of Resident Evil Requiem takes place three decades after Leon S. Kennedy’s arrival in Raccoon City. From a clumsy young cop, he has become a seasoned veteran, ready to face new nightmares.

But above all it is a new character that intrigues fans: Grace AshcroftFBI agent and daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft (seen in Resident Evil Outbreak). She leads the investigation into mysterious events linked to the T virus, in the ruins of the infamous city.

The official synopsis sets the tone: “Return once again to the city of disaster and despair. A city in the American Midwest, home of the former multinational pharmaceutical company Umbrella.” A dark atmosphere, supported by a persistent threat: “In the face of the 1998 zombie outbreak, the government approved a sterilization operation and a missile strike on the city in an attempt to quickly bring the situation under control, but these were quickly suppressed.”
