This update deployed on January 22 allowed us to learn a little more about the lore of this season, but also about the next collaborations to come.
Crown Jam is on!
For a limited time, the game mode Crown Jam invests Fortnite. In partnership with Fall Guysthe temporary game mode (available until February 9) allows you to test your basketball skills in an arena with astonishing surprises and quite dynamic gameplay. Rewards can also be unlocked during your 3 versus 3 games. The game mode has been available since January 23.

Something new at Lethal Labs
The Traveler’s Cradle will soon be back on the Battle Royale map, after several days of disappearance. You will be able to witness its return through a mini-event. Several new information has been found, such as the fact that the Cradle should open and reveal its cannon which destroyed the Battle Bus at the start of the season and that it will begin to assemble pieces of Point Zero. Players have also noticed that the Institution, one of the characters making up the Seven, is now locked in the Lethal Labs prison, although all the details are not yet known.
New collaborations
Fortnite having become the bottomless pit of all possible and imaginable collaborations, this new update has made it possible to verify certain rumors. The next Battle Royale collaborations will revolve around the series The Office (already available in store), with the presence of Michael and Dwight skins. The pack includes back accessories, pickaxes, emotes and a glider. Cosmetics related to Ed, Edd n Eddy have also recently been in store. More surprisingly, we learned that a collaboration with Overwatch would be launched within three months, if we are to believe the most loyal leakers, without further information.
Additionally, if you pre-order the game Crimson Desert on the Epic Games Store, you will have a free cosmetic, and not the least, since it is the Kliff outfit, an outfit that can be used from March 19 when the game is released. Any pre-order made from January 22 will be eligible, including at the time of the actual release of the game. Note that the outfit could then appear in the store Fortnite.

In brief
- A new Hour of Power will take place this Saturday January 24 from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.. The opportunity to have a greater chance of obtaining the Stick of Truth to validate your quests and win your games more easily (eventually).
- THE Fault anomalies now have an increased appearance rate (from 40 to 60% chance per game), while storm circles will have shorter wait times before they start to shrink.
