The Prime Gaming service, included in the Amazon Prime subscription, offers new free PC games every month. But unlike temporary streaming titles, some games can be kept for life. This is precisely the case of three classics currently offered, but for a very short period.
By December 10, 2025, three titles from recognized licenses will leave the platform. Once claimed, they will remain in your digital library, without time limit. But after this date, free access will disappear. “Like every week, a little reminder is necessary concerning free games which will soon leave Prime Gaming”, recalls Gameblog.
Dungeons & Dragons: a dive into the old-fashioned RPG
The first game in the selection is not really one, but rather a collection. The series Dark Sunfrom the Dungeons & Dragons universe, brings together two PC role-playing game classics from the 90s: Shattered Lands And Wake of the Ravager. These two titles are now available for free on GOG, via a code provided by Prime Gaming.
The atmosphere of this version of Dungeons & Dragons is particular: darker, harsher, more desperate. The world of Athas, where the events take place, is marked by drought, destructive magic and tactical combat. It’s a demanding proposition, but a fascinating one.
“Venerable RPGs, what’s more, in one of the most sinister and gloomy atmospheres in the entire D&D universe,” underlines Gameblog. For fans of retro and old-school strategy, this is a godsend.
Lovecraft’s Untold Stories: horror in pixel art
Change of universe with the second proposed game: Lovecraft’s Untold Storiesan independent pixel art action-RPG developed by Blini Games. Released in 2019, it offers top-down exploration with rogue-like mechanics, where each game is different thanks to randomly generated levels.
You play several characters confronted with cultists and creatures from the universe of HP Lovecraft. “Brave these Eldrichian horrors for free, if you dare,” warns Gameblog. An invitation to face the unspeakable… for free.
How to claim Prime Gaming games before they are removed
To take advantage of this offer, you must have an active Amazon Prime subscription. Then, the procedure is simple:
- Go to the official Prime Gaming website.
- Click on “Free Games with Prime”.
- Select the desired titles and follow the instructions (depending on whether it is a GOG code, Epic Games, or a direct download).
Each game being associated with a specific platform, you will then have to activate it manually. But once the code is validated, the game becomes permanently yours.
“Remember to act quickly, these offers are available for a limited time,” insists Gameblog. December 10 is fast approaching. Once this date has passed, these games will no longer be accessible for free.
