Xbox Game Pass: 2 major RPGs available today, including one of the best of 2025

The month of March 2026 is off to a flying start for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Without waiting for the official announcement of the first wave of the month, two major titles have just joined the catalog: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Final Fantasy III. Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass members can access it today on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and via the Cloud.

This double addition marks a particularly strong start for Microsoft’s subscription service. On one side, an ambitious medieval fresco. On the other, a classic Japanese RPG modernized for current platforms. Two radically different universes, now united in the same catalog.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 joins Xbox Game Pass today

Available on March 3, 2026 on the service, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II arrives just one month after the first episode was included in the catalog. Subscribers can thus directly follow the rest of the adventures of Henri de Skalitz.

This narrative action RPG takes place during the Bohemian Civil War in the 15th century. The player finds Henri, who has gone from the status of a simple blacksmith’s son to that of a central actor in a conflict marked by revenge, betrayal and political upheaval.

This sequel considerably expands the scale of the world offered. The environments open up more, alternating between bustling medieval cities and vast, detailed forests. Attention to historical detail remains at the heart of the experience.

The fights retain their realistic approach. Swords, blunt weapons and ranged weapons require preparation and precision. Henry’s customization directly influences the reactions of NPCs and the evolution of relationships.

Immersive additional activities, such as blacksmithing or archery, enrich the whole, supported by an original soundtrack which accentuates the epic dimension of this reconstituted medieval Europe.

Final Fantasy III enriches the Xbox Game Pass RPG catalog

Alongside the medieval epic, Final Fantasy III is also joining the service today. This is the 2D Pixel Remaster version of the classic RPG originally released in 1990. This modernized edition features reworked pixel graphics as well as a rearranged soundtrack supervised by original composer Nobuo Uematsu.

The story follows four Warriors of Light tasked with restoring balance to a world threatened by darkness. Final Fantasy III is particularly known for introducing the series’ iconic profession system.

A particularly strategic first wave of Xbox Game Pass March 2026

The simultaneous arrival of these two RPGs marks the launch of the first wave of March 2026. The full official announcement of the new games is expected to come later today.

Between an ambitious Western production and a revisited Japanese classic, Xbox Game Pass covers two different audiences while consolidating its premium catalog. Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Premium subscribers can now download or launch these titles on Xbox Series X|S, PC and via the Cloud.

Xbox Game Pass, a month of March that starts with high intensity

With this early launch, March 2026 promises to be busy for subscribers. The continuity between the first Kingdom Come and its sequel allows an immediate transition for those who had recently discovered the universe. The progressive presence of Final Fantasy episodes on the service strengthens the collection already started with the arrival of Final Fantasy I in January and Final Fantasy II in February.
