Every weekend, Xbox transforms its consoles into a testing ground for curious gamers. Thanks to the operation Free Play Dayssubscribers can access a selection of games at no additional cost, for a limited time. This time, they are five titles who join the rotation from October 17 to 20, 2025. Their access, however, is not equal for everyone: the terms vary depending on the Xbox Game Pass subscription level.
Three games open to all Xbox players
Good news for players without a subscription: three games are playable for free this weekend without any conditions, until Monday October 20 at 8:59 a.m. (Paris time).
Among them, Hell Let Loosea realistic FPS set in the middle of World War II. This multiplayer title imposes rigorous gameplay based on cooperation, with up to 100 players per game and historic maps like Omaha Beach or Carentan. Vehicles, infantry and dynamic supply lines make up a battlefield of rare intensity.
Two other very different experiences complete this selection:
- The Stone of Madnessa real-time stealth game, takes place in an 18th century Jesuit asylum. Five prisoners, tormented by madness, attempt to escape from a dilapidated Spanish monastery. The publisher specifies that “the trial is limited to 2 hours”.
- Ra Ra BOOMfinally, fully embraces its offbeat tone with its ninja cheerleader heroines facing hostile AI in a dystopian future. A mix of beat’em up and side-scrolling shooter, the game invites cooperative experimentation with up to four players.
Two titles reserved for Game Pass subscribers
Players with an Xbox Game Pass subscription, whether Essential, Premium or Ultimateget two additional games to try.
The first is a heavyweight in automotive simulation: F1 25official game of the FIA Formula One World Championship™ 2025. It notably highlights the 10 years of the Haas team, with exclusive scenarios retracing the key moments of the team. The game also incorporates the 2025 F2™ season for the first time.
The second is Everspacea visually spectacular single-player space rogue-like that combines combat, exploration and storytelling. The studio promises “a perilous adventure in a constantly changing universe, full of surprises”, while testing the players’ “address and gifts for improvisation”.
Progress maintained and promotions on offer
As is the tradition of Free Play Days, all progress recorded during the test sessions will be preserved if the player then buys the game. Added to this are special promotions on the Microsoft Store valid for the duration of the operation.
On the good side, a tip relayed by Xboxygen also allows you to save on the subscription. Using the code “XboxyCore”, 12 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate are offered at €100either almost 70% off on the standard rate.
