This new free RPG is a hit on Steam with 100% positive reviews

A free RPG with an improbable name, but a resounding success: on Steam, a new game developed by a small Chinese studio has just obtained 100% positive evaluations from players. Yet few people had heard of it before this week.

Discreetly released in early access, “Queen, Please Train Your Male Favorites” is the work of independent studio Latido ST. The game has recently been available for free on the PC Steam platform, only in simplified and traditional Chinese for the moment. And despite this language barrier, it attracts a wave of enthusiastic feedback.

A game with a confusing title, but an intriguing universe

Presented as an RPG mixing adventure, strategy and narration, the game is intriguing as much by its name as by its atmosphere. It’s hard to know exactly what’s going on, but Steam’s auto-translated synopsis gives some insight into the story’s unique tone:
“From princess to queen, facing many calculations, step by step in love, meeting hundreds of characters with different personalities, one after another.”
The player meets colorful characters, including “an arrogant young man, a sweet childhood sweetheart, a mysterious boy and a black-bellied fox”.

The mix of genres may be surprising. The game is listed in both “indie”, “casual”, “RPG”, “action”, “adventure”, and “strategy” categories. This hybrid positioning undoubtedly contributes to its appeal, even if it is still difficult to pin down its full depth.

100% positive reviews, despite obvious obstacles

Despite the lack of an English translation and its early access status, Latido ST’s game earned a perfect rating on Steam. Currently, all user reviews are positive, making it a rare case in Valve’s digital store.

This impressive score raises questions. Some players raise the possibility of fake reviews or bots, but even a handful of genuine reviews is enough to spark curiosity. Word of mouth does its job, boosted by a crazy title and a graphic style that catches the eye.

There is currently no official release date or confirmation of a multilingual localization. Steam, however, invites interested players to add the game to their wishlist to receive future updates. An English version seems likely, but remains to be confirmed.
