The official X account for the anime adaptation of “Black Clover” announced today that the sequel will air on Japanese television from October 2026. We summarize.

The sequel is titled “Black Clover Second Season” and is being directed by Ayataka Tanemura (“Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King”) at Studio Pierrot. Keiichirou Oochi (“Once Upon a Witch’s Death”) is writing the script, while Itsuko Takeda is again contributing the character design.
The main roles of the Japanese cast once again include Gakuto Kajiwara (Sigma in “Fate/Strange Fake”) as Asta and Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shin Asakura in “Sakamoto Days”) as Yuno. Crunchyroll shows the new episodes in simulcast.
The 170-episode first anime adaptation of “Black Clover” ran in Japan from October 2017 to March 2021. According to current planning, the German DVD and Blu-ray release will continue in July 2026 with the second volume of the fourth season.
