With the opening of an official website, it was announced today that the manga series “The Duke’s Son Claims He Won’t Love Me Yet Showers Me with Adoration” (Japanese: “‘Kimi wo Aisuru Kiwanai’ to Itta Jiki Koushaku-sama ga Naze ka Dekiaishitekimasu”) is receiving an anime adaptation as a TV series. Starting in July 2026
»The Duke’s Son Claims He Won’t Love Me Yet Showers Me with Adoration« is directed by Hitoyuki Matsui (“Penguin Musume Heart”) in the two studios ZERO-G and GRASS. Tomoko Konparu is writing the script, while Yuuko Yahiro (“As a Reincarnated Aristocrat”) is contributing the character design.
The main roles of the Japanese voice cast include Yui Ishikawa (Saku Fukuzawa in “The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today”) as Elsa and Souma Saitou (Miyabi Nagumo in “Classroom of the Elite”) as Julius.
The broadcast is scheduled to start in July 2026 in Japan. A simulcast has not yet been announced. We’ll keep you updated.
The original manga series of the same name by Kei Misawa has been published in the “Comic Ark” magazine since February 2021 with drawings by Natsu Mizuno. The work appears on the “MangaPlaza” website with an English translation.
