PS Plus drop: 37% off in certain regions, are you affected?

This is a reduction that PlayStation is not particularly promoting, but which could well make subscribers who are still undecided hesitate. The most complete PlayStation Plus offer currently benefits from a significant discount, to the point of becoming cheaper than the intermediate package.

As of February 24, 2026, players can subscribe or renew 12 months of PS Plus Premium for $99.99 in the United States, instead of $159.99. A drop of 37%. The offer is also active in the United Kingdom with the price reduced to £77.99 instead of £119.99.

PS Plus Premium at $99.99, 37% off for 12 months

The PS Plus Premium subscription represents the most complete package of the PlayStation Plus service. It includes monthly free games, access to the catalog of recent titles, but also to the Classics catalog bringing together old PlayStation games.

Usually billed at $159.99 per year in the US, the Premium plan currently drops to $99.99. This corresponds to a reduction of 37%. In the UK, the price drops from £119.99 to £77.99, a reduction of 35%.

Notably, this promotional price makes Premium cheaper than the Extra subscription, normally priced at $134.99 per year in the United States. Extra is not affected by the current promotion.

How Premium positions itself against the Essential and Extra offers

To understand the impact of this discount, you need to remember the differences between subscription levels. The Essential offer, billed at $79.99 per year, provides access to free monthly games and allows you to play certain titles online. It constitutes the entry level.

The Extra offer, at $134.99 per year, adds a catalog of recent games for download. Premium, finally, includes all the previous benefits and opens access to the Classics catalog. In the current context, Premium temporarily becomes more financially accessible than the Extra package, which modifies the usual price hierarchy.

The next games expected on PS Plus Premium

This promotion comes as several additions have already been announced for the coming months. Tekken Dark Resurrection will join the Premium catalog in March. In May, the first installment of Time Crisis will be offered exclusively to Premium subscribers. This shooter will use the gyroscopic controls of the DualSense controller to offer an experience adapted to current consoles.

Another planned arrival: Big Walk, the next project from the House House studio, known for Untitled Goose Game. This title will be accessible via PlayStation Plus, regardless of subscription level.

A strategy to revive interest in the Premium catalog

In recent months, the PS Plus Premium Classics catalog has been enriched at a more measured pace, with only one addition per month. However, the titles offered have gained popularity.

The current reduction could be part of a strategy aimed at strengthening the attractiveness of the Premium level, especially after the recent State of Play announcements which highlighted upcoming content.

With a reduction of up to 37%, the price gap between the different formulas is temporarily narrowing. Players who are still hesitant have the opportunity to commit to a full year at the lowest rate observed for this formula.
