The date for the one-hour “Undead Unluck” special has been set

The official X account for the anime adaptation of “Undead Unluck” announced today that the upcoming TV special will air on Japanese television on December 25, 2025. We summarize.

Anime by E&H Production

The approximately one-hour TV special entitled “Undead Unluck: Winter Arc” was initially announced as a standalone original story. However, since the name is identical to that of the next manga arc, it could also be a sequel – possibly with certain deviations from the original.

What is already certain, however, is that at least one character will appear who does not appear in the manga. Takehito Koyasu lends his voice to the original character Balance – a UMA who is responsible for the balance of the world.

The production of the TV special takes place at the E&H Production studio, which is directed by Seong-Hu Park (“Jujutsu Kaisen”). Gakuto Haishima (“Fire Force”) is re-writing the script, while Hideyuki Morioka (“Whited Nighttime”) and Shunichi Ishimoto (“Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe”) are doing character design.

The previous 24-part series was directed by Yuki Yase at David Production. Disney+ offers all episodes with German subtitles on demand. A disc release with German dubbing was carried out by peppermint anime.
