The complete summary of the conference (Marvel Tōkon, Elden Ring Nightreign, Fatal Frame II…)

Here you can find the full list of State of Play Japan announcements for November 11. Hold on tight, since we will summarize everything here very quickly, given the few announcements and the speed at which they were communicated. And, it must be admitted, with the ton of DLC presented here, this conference was not really worth the detour.

First game to appear during this State of Play, Dragon Quest VII Reimagineda rather special remake of the seventh episode of the cult JRPG saga. No big announcement to note here since its release date is already known, but a new sequence with the adult version of one of the main characters, to show that this new version will not only rehash the past.

Bandai Namco DLC (Digimon Story, PAC-MAN World 2…)

If you haven’t seen enough DLC like this yet, Bandai Namco has put the dose in for you. Between Super Robot Wars Y which offers plenty of crossovers from November 21 (Galaxy Cyclone Braiger, The Big O AndFuuto PI: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull), Once Upon a Katamari which will welcome new collaborations in November, and Digimon Story: Time Stranger which revealed its first DLC with new Digivolutions and a special episode planned for this winter, there was plenty to choose from.

The most notable in the lot will be the Sonic DLC for Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pacavailable today, with a Dr. Robotnik popping a head.

Monster Hunter Wilds

  • Update release date : December 16, 2024

Capcom flew by, not to give news of the next resident Evilbut to make sure that update 4 of Monster Hunter Wilds will arrive within a good month, in the hope of restoring some interest around a title that is having difficulty capturing a new audience.

Like the one on Sponge Bob, scheduled for November 20.

Never Grave The Witch and the Curse

  • Release date : March 5, 2026

Difficult to see much originality in Never Grave: The Witch and The Curseat least, in appearance. A roguelike that can even be enjoyed with others, with online cooperation for up to 4 people.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls

  • Closed beta : from November 5 to 7

We were waiting for it at the turning point for this State of Play Japan, and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls did not fail us. Well almost, since we were expecting at least an announcement of characters, but Arc System Works simply wanted to specify that a second beta will take place during the weekend of December 5, with Spider-Man and Ghost Rider playable and new arenas, including the X-Men mansion.

Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows

  • Release date : December 4, 2025

We end with the announcement of the DLC for Elden Ring Nightreignwhich was hardly a surprise given that Kadokawa had spilled the beans about him. In The Forsaken Hollowsyou will be able to control two new playable characters (Scholar and Undertaker) to face two new bosses, with a new underground area to explore.

This very sad conference ended with the announcement of a PS5 Digital Edition entirely dedicated to the Japanese public, which is only available in Japanese, in order to bypass certain taxes while offering an affordable product, at around 300 euros (55,000 yen). This is enough to conclude this evening, which shows us once again that we should never get excited in advance for presentations of this kind.
