A fun and colorful production in perspective
For those who have never heard of this independent production, it invites us to play the role of a young frog called Hop. Kidnapped by Diss, a prankster spirit who claims to need her help on a very important mission, she must obtain the parts for an airship in order to return home. Unfortunately, these are hidden throughout the forest, desert, ocean and mountain biomes of the world around it. Suffice to say that the task will not be easy but, rest assured, our character has a language capable of getting us out of many situations with the sole aim of progressing.
Furthermore, drawing inspiration from several video game licenses such as Mario, Sonic, The Legend of Zelda or even A Hat in Timethe developers promise us that Hop’s handling will be very rich. Recovering the “plants” present on our route will also allow us to vary our approaches at each level. For example, a mushroom can turn into a stepping stone, while an acorn will grow vines along walls and ceilings to climb on. As for the collectibles, there will be some, knowing that some will have a use in the gameplay or will let us customize our frog’s outfit.
