No real new episode for a while?
Not surprisingly, a Tales of Xilia 2 Remastered would be in the pipeline at Bandai Namco. We learn about it in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, translated by Ryokutya2089. This interview thus makes it possible to clarify that the remaster of the second game is well in preparationwithout Bandai Namco being able to give more details on this subject at the moment.
And it’s not the only remaster of Tales of which is in active development. The publisher has made no secret of it, it intends to increase the number of releases of the genre, and announces here that there are at least two in preparation (we don’t know if it includes that of Xillia 2 in the lot), and that the next remaster of an episode of the saga should be announced in a relatively short time.
As for a real new episode… the wait promises to be still long. During this interview, the producer would have clarified that even if a new game is well in preparation, it will not be announced for a little while. This is undoubtedly why the publisher is increasing the number of remasters, to maximize revenue from the saga while waiting for this new episode. The 30 years of the series will therefore have given nothing other than remasters, and nothing but remasters.
