No one predicted such a big launch for Slay the Spire 2even less Mega Crit, even with the very significant success of the first game. The studio was surprised to see its title being completely acclaimed on Steam from the start of early access, with a peak of more than 280,000 simultaneous connections on Steam.
Something quite new for a title of its kind, since Mewgenics had however set a record with more than 115,000 simultaneous connections last month, thus surpassing the score of Hades 2. Slay the Spire 2 therefore crushes the competition, while it is currently only available in its early access version.
And the first feedback is unanimous since the game has almost 94% positive reviews on Steam for the moment. Who knows if it’s the possibility of playing with several people that allowed this sequel to attract even more people, or if it’s simply the expectation of finding this very particular universe and gameplay without waiting for version 1.0 of the game. The important thing for Mega Crit is that Slay the Spire 2 is already a great commercial success.
