The patch planned for launch should improve the visual appearance of the game
By downloading the demo of Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Tiespart of the public realized that the visual aspect of the title was confusing to say the leastwith questionable lighting and rendering that didn’t have as much character as the original game. It’s partly because of this that the Steam ratings for this demo are rather negative, and RGG Studio wants to reassure the public by indicating that a patch is already planned for launch to improve all of this :
“ We are aware of player concerns regarding graphical issues and other issues in the Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties downloadable demo. Rest assured that the graphics quality of the demo does not reflect the final experience. A v1.11 patch will be available upon release of the game and will fix lighting issues and other quality issues. One specific example is the visual and lighting issues around the Kubochi River in downtown Ryukyu, which many of you have already reported. This patch will not only include fixing the issues mentioned above, but also many other improvements. »
Let’s also remember that the game has been at the heart of another controversy since its announcement, which is also reflected in the Steam reviews posted on the demo. Fans of the series deplore the presence of actor Teruyuki Kagawa in the game’s cast, even though he was accused of sexual assault in 2019 (facts admitted by the actor, at least on one of the victims). Despite fans’ requests to replace the actor, SEGA and RGG Studio have not announced any changes.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will be released on February 12 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2.
