Lady Dimitrescu, Steelbook and new content on the program
The edition Deluxe of the game includes no less than five suitsincluding one highly anticipated: that of Lady Dimitrescuthe famous antagonist of Resident Evil Village. The presence of this costume for Grace reinforces the game’s anchoring in the extended universe of the saga, and should appeal to fans of the vampiric icon originally played by Maggie Robertson.
In addition to skins, the edition offers two visual filters, weapon skins, lucky charms, sound pack Raccoon City Classic and an additional file named Letters from 1998. A version Deluxe Steelbook will also be available with a collector’s metal case and lenticular card.
A more immersive game, but still just as mysterious
A new trailer, titled Road to Requiemreveals short extracts of gameplay, but still leaves the mystery hanging over the main plot. Fans are particularly hoping for the return of Leon S. Kennedy, whose presence is still uncertain. Capcom has yet to confirm this, despite persistent rumors.
During Gamescom, the director Akifumi Nakanishi addressed several topics around the game, including the return of Lisa Trevorthe subjective camera mechanics or even the desire to make the game “scary”, without certainty about the final perception of Western players.
Resident Evil Requiem therefore promises to be an episode at the crossroads of generations, mixing cult icons and intriguing new features. The first elements are there. It now remains to be seen whether the game will keep its promises, in a universe where horror never really dies.
