The official X account for the anime adaptation of “The Duke’s Son Claims He Won’t Love Me Yet Showers Me with Adoration” announced today that the series will start on July 4, 2026. You can find a first trailer below.

»The Duke’s Son Claims He Won’t Love Me Yet Showers Me with Adoration« was created under the direction of Hitoyuki Matsui (“Gachiakuta”) in the two studios ZERO-G and GRASS. Tomoko Konparu is writing the script and Yuuko Yahiro (“As a Reincarnated Aristocrat”) is doing the character design.

The opening song entitled “Itsuka Chanto”, which can be heard in the trailer, comes from the singer Riria (opening song of “The Too-Perfect Saint”), while the ending song “Saishuukai” is contributed by sorato.

The underlying manga series by Kei Misawa, which originally bears the title “‘Kimi wo Aisuru Kiwanai’ to Itta Jiki Koushaku-sama ga Naze ka Dekiaishitekimasu”, has been published in the “Comic Ark” magazine since February 2021 with drawings by Natsu Mizuno. The work is available at MangaPlaza with an English translation.
