The very first remastered game?
Even if he is missed by many, the most famous blonde in platforming has fortunately not disappeared from the radar for good. Since the end of 2024, we have known that a remake responding to the code name Project Steambot took its roots from Ubisoft Milan, before we learned that Ubisoft Montpellier is also participating in the “future of licensing”. But then, what exactly are we talking about? Well, without fantasizing, it could simply be a return to the current generation of the very first Raymanoriginally released on PlayStation and… Jaguar. And precisely, on the listing, we find Atari as developer and publisher. Another name is familiar in the presence of U&I Entertainment, distributor of physical versions for Atari, but also Ubisoft, as with The Rogue Prince of Persia.
So remaster way Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition or, more likely, a simple port with quality of life improvements to soften the dreaded experience of the time? Let’s keep the traditional tweezers and all this will become clearer in any case with real announcements which we hope are imminent, but the idea of rediscovering the origins of Rayman on current consoles is something to rejoice about.
