PS Plus: the first free game of November leaked and it’s a real gem

As November approaches, the usual leaks regarding the PlayStation Plus catalog are starting to emerge. This time it is Stray which would be in the spotlight, according to a report published by Dealabsa site well known for its reliable revelations on PS+ offers. This return, announced for November 4would concern all subscribers of the service, whether they are on the formula Essential, Extra Or Premium.

The game, which had already appeared in the past in the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog, had mysteriously disappeared shortly before its release on Xbox. This comeback in the monthly formula therefore marks a strong strategic choice for Sony, which intends to capitalize on the intact reputation of this independent nugget released in 2022.

Available on PS5 and PS4Stray had never before been offered for free in the basic formula. It’s now done – or almost, if the leak is confirmed.

An award-winning indie game with a unique charm

Developed by the French studio BlueTwelve and edited by Annapurna InteractiveStray marked the year 2022 by winning the prize for Best Indie Game during the Game Awards. And for good reason: its concept is as unexpected as it is endearing. The player embodies a stray catlost in an abandoned futuristic city, populated by robots, where he must navigate, sneak, understand and survive.

This exploration game third person focuses everything on an immersive atmosphere. The environments are rich, detailed, full of little nooks and crannies to discover, and the gameplay, although simple, plays brilliantly on the typical behaviors of a cat: climbing, curiosity, stealth and teasing interactions. It is also a melancholy story, carried by careful artistic direction and a captivating soundtrack.

Stray has won over critics as much as players. Its arrival in PS Plus could reach a new audience, especially those who have not yet taken the plunge to purchase.

A strategic addition for Sony before the holidays

It is no coincidence that Sony is banking on Stray to kick off the November PS Plus games. With the end of year holidays approaching, and a competing Xbox Game Pass offer still aggressive, the Japanese firm is seeking to strengthen the attractiveness of its serviceplaying on titles with a strong identity.

Stray ticks all the boxes: short lifespan, high replayability, unique experienceand above all reputation intact. Integrating it into PlayStation Plus in its most accessible formula makes it visible to millions of subscribers.

It is also a way of extending the life of a game which, after a notable run on PS5, PS4 and PC, recently took its first steps on Xbox. Sony is taking the initiative here on a title which was initially perceived as a strong exclusivity of its ecosystem.

What to expect from other PS Plus games in November?

For now, no official information has been communicated by Sony on the complete selection of PS Plus games for November 2025. The two other titles offered have not yet been leaked. But if the presence of Stray is confirmed, it sets the tone: a month focused on artistic quality and originalityrather than AAA blockbusters.

In October, subscribers had already been spoiled with titles like Alan Wake 2, Silent Hill 2 or even Until Dawn. Sony could therefore continue this momentum by offering a mix of thrills and deep narrative gameswith a welcome indie touch.

With Stray headlining, the month of November could well put the spotlight back on this cyberpunk cat become icon independent video game. It remains to be seen whether Sony will confirm this leak in the coming days.
