PS Plus adds 2 new free games, 6 disappear in a few days

Sony proceeds to its traditional rolling of play on PlayStation Plus, and October is no exception. As often, the month begins with the arrival of a few new products … but also with the silent disappearance of a handful of titles, sometimes very appreciated.

According to information relayed on Reddit but obviously from an official source, Six games will leave the service from October 7. Some were however perfect for this period of Halloween.

Two horror games removed … just before Halloween

Among the games concerned, two titles from the series The Dark Pictures Anthology :: Man of Medan And House of Ashes. The players who hoped to shiver in front of their screen this month will have to do quickly: the two episodes are short, but effective.

Here is the complete list of games that will disappear from PlayStation plus on October 7:

  • Battlefield 1
  • Ghostbusters: Spirit Unleashed
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes
  • Tour de France 2023
  • The Last Clockwinder

One of the most regretted elements by the community concerns The Last Clockwindera VR game greeted for its concept. Its elimination highlights an increasingly criticized trend by owners of PSVR2. As the author of the article expresses: “It seems that Sony does not really want to offer bonuses to PSVR2 owners after spending hundreds of dollars for equipment.”

A new month, two new free games to discover

But everything is not lost for subscribers. October 7 will also mark the arrival of two new games in the catalog. One of them is already talked about: Alan Wake 2a survival-horror praised for its narration and its heavy atmosphere.

The second free game has not yet been formalized, but other announcements could follow in the coming hours, as often with PlayStation Plus.

Until then, subscribers are invited to enjoy the outgoing games before it is too late. Because as the author summarizes so well: “What Sony gives, he also takes it up.”
