The free TV channel ProSieben MAXX has an anime marathon for this year Labor Day (May 1, 2026) announced. We summarize.
Big anime movie marathon
While May Day begins on ProSieben MAXX at 5:25 a.m. with repeats of “Detective Conan,” “One Piece” and “Dragon Ball Super.” from 1:40 p.m seven anime films based on the Shonen classic “Dragon Ball Z” planned.
The highlight is the channel premiere of »Mary and the Witches’ Flower« around 8:15 p.m The film by Studio Ponoc has only been shown in this country on the Disney Channel – but it hasn’t been there since October 2021.
Afterwards, all films can be streamed free of charge for a short time in the media library on Joyn. Further details and contents can be found below.
Anime Movies on May 1st:
1:40 p.m.: “Dragon Ball Z: Garlic Jr’s Dead Zone.”
»Dragon Ball Z: Garlic Jr’s Dead Zone.« opened at 1:40 p.m the anime film marathon ProSieben MAXX with German dubbing.
Action:
Son Goku’s family is attacked and his son is kidnapped by henchmen of the new enemy Garlic Jr. He hunts the Dragon Balls to complete his power.
Together with God, Son Goku penetrates Garlic Jr.’s fortress to save his son – and save the world from a great danger.
2:25 p.m.: “Dragon Ball Z: The Decisive Battle”
The action film »Dragon Ball Z: The Decisive Battle« becomes at 2:25 p.m with German language output ProSieben MAXX broadcast.
Action:
The landing of a space capsule triggers a devastating forest fire. Gohan and Kuririn are able to stop the fire, but the real danger is yet to come: A Saiyan wants to plant the tree of divine power on earth.
Since this drains the planet of its energy, the entire world will soon be on the verge of destruction.
3:30 p.m.: “Dragon Ball Z: The Strongest on Earth”
At 3:30 p.m is »Dragon Ball Z: The Strongest on Earth« with German dubbing ProSieben MAXX to see.
Action:
The scientist Dr. Willow was frozen for a long time and is now back. In search of a worthy body for his brilliant mind, he chooses Son Goku.
But he refuses and stands up to him to save his body and the world from the threat.
4:35 p.m.: “Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiyan Son Goku”
»Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiyan Son Goku« running at 4:35 p.m in the German dubbed version ProSieben MAXX.
Action:
A planet is heading towards Earth. Goku and Kuririn fight him, but cannot prevent the catastrophe. From the explosion falls a spaceship containing the cruelest of all Super Namekians.
When he finds out about the Dragon Balls, a race against time begins – and Goku needs a new level of power to do so.
5:35 p.m.: “Dragon Ball Z: Revenge for Freeza”
After that will at 5:35 p.m the film “Dragon Ball Z: Revenge for Freeza” in German ProSieben MAXX broadcast.
Action:
After Cooler learns of the death of his brother Freeza, he seeks revenge against Son Goku. On Earth, he challenges Goku, Piccolo and the others. With his enormous strength, he quickly pushes the fighters to their limits and becomes a serious threat.
6:30 p.m.: “Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Return”
At 6:30 p.m is the anime adventure »Dragon Ball Z: Cooler Returns« with German dubbing ProSieben MAXX to see.
Action:
Earth is invaded by a robot army led by Cooler, now even more dangerous as an android. He wants to take revenge on Son Goku and the others and conquer the planet. Victory seems impossible against this overwhelming opponent.
7:20 p.m.: “Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Cyborgs”
Followed by at 7:20 p.m the film “Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Cyborgs” in German language version ProSieben MAXX.
Action:
A time traveler warns Son Goku about cyborgs that are set to conquer the world in three years. With this knowledge he wants to change the future. But powerful robots with unexpected abilities oppose the warriors.
A tough battle begins to save the world from destruction.
8:15 p.m.: “Mary and the Witches’ Flower”
The conclusion is formed at 8:15 p.m the broadcast premiere of »Mary and the Witches’ Flower« with German language version ProSieben MAXX.
Action:
Mary moves in with her great-aunt Charlotte and discovers glowing flowers with magical powers in the forest. When she breaks one of them off and touches it with a broomstick, it begins to fly and carries her into a mysterious, magical world.
