Prime Video shows “Nippon Sangoku” in German in a simulcast + trailer


The streaming service Prime Video announced today that it has secured the license for the anime adaptation of “Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Red Sun”. You can find a new trailer below.

Starting in April 2026

»Nippon Sangoku« will be broadcast on Japanese television from April 5, 2026 and will be shown in simulcast exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries outside of Japan – including in the original dubbing with German and English subtitles as well as with German dubbing.

Studio Kafka is responsible for producing the series, with Kazuaki Terasawa (“The Ancient Magus’ Bride”) directing and Teruko Utsumi writing the script. Takahiko Abiru creates the character design.

The opening song that can be heard in the new trailer is titled “Hidane” and comes from Tatsuya Kitani. The Japanese singer previously contributed opening songs to “Kaoru and Rin”, “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Hell’s Paradise”, among others.

The underlying manga series by Ikka Matsuki has been appearing on the “Manga One” platform since November 2021. The action-drama work is currently not available with a German or English translation.
