Pokémon Winds and Waves: Gen 10 leaked in detail, a Switch 2 exclusive with a revolutionary concept

It’s hard to keep a secret in the Pokémon universe. As Pokémon Legends: ZA prepares to be released, a leak relayed by Centro Leaks is already shaking the community. According to several alleged documents from Game Freak, the tenth generation of the franchise could be titled “Pokémon Winds and Waves”, and mark a major evolution in the history of the saga.

This information would come from internal documents dating from 2020. If their age leaves doubt about the accuracy of the details, they still provide a credible overview of what the future of Pokémon could be. Among the notable revelations: an open world with an MMO-type central area, a region inspired by Southeast Asia, and compatibility exclusively reserved for the future Switch 2.

A region inspired by Southeast Asia and an ever-changing world

The documents speak of a new, unexplored region, shaped after the landscapes of Indonesia and its neighbors. But this is not the only geographical novelty. The game would introduce a system of procedurally generated islands, bringing endless combinations of exploration. A way to express the thematic heart of the game: infinity.

ZA comes out this week. Proof that the calendar may have been modified since 2020, and that all information must be taken with caution.

Neither Nintendo nor Game Freak have yet publicly reacted to these revelations. But if these documents prove reliable, Pokémon Gen 10 could be the most ambitious episode ever imagined.
