Pokémon Pokopia has just received its update 1.0.4, deployed on April 22, 2026, and it finally checks a box that players have been asking for since launch: freely move Pokémon Centers during limited events. A small line in the patch notes, but a huge relief for anyone building their island to the millimeter.
Spin-off life-sim craft signed Game Freak And Omega Forceedited by The Pokémon Company on Nintendo Switch 2, Pokémon Pokopia exploded the counters with 2.2 million copies sold in four days after its release on March 5. Despite a solid launch, the game continues to have patches, and this ver. 1.0.4 adds both this highly anticipated feature and a series of stuck quest fixes.
Pokémon Pokopia 1.0.4: finally mobile Pokémon Centers during events?
In the official notice, the first line is clear: “You can now relocate Pokémon Centers while in-game events are underway,” indicates the Pokémon website. Until now, an event like Egrets for Granivol could completely lock your Pokémon Center, forcing you to wait for the timer to end. ComicBook.com even spoke of “one of its most frustrating issues” to describe this constraint.
With update 1.0.4, you can use a Relocation Kit even if an event is in progress. Concretely, make sure that your game displays the ver. 1.0.4, save, start or let the event run, then move your Pokémon Center like any other building. Useful if your old location blocks a future expansion or if you want to bring PC and resource farming area closer to the event.
What bugs does Pokémon Pokopia update 1.0.4 really fix?
Pokémon Centers also benefit from several technical fixes. The patch fixes a bug where some PCs caused the game to freeze, fixes decorations that would float after rebuilding during an event, and restores trading in Cloud Island Centers, which was sometimes impossible while an event was running.
On Bleak Beachseveral requests could not advance correctly. “Wanted: Food!” and “Pool repair needed!” sometimes refused to get started or progress, and Happy refused to accompany the player after the pool was repaired. Update 1.0.4 unlocks these situations: if you had left the area in limbo, returning to the location should restart the scripts.
Side Sparkling Skylands and key NPCs, the patch resolves the case of Professor Tangrowth (Professor Bouldeneu) who ceased to appear, as well as Peakychu, Chef Dente And Tinkmaster which could get stuck in town, blocking certain requests like “Pokémon Center tour guide!”. Relocation kits that left indestructible platforms behind are also fixed.
Why install Pokémon Pokopia update 1.0.4 now?
Wash. 1.0.4 is distributed automatically on Nintendo Switch 2 as soon as the console is connected. It does not add a new scenario or DLC, but combines a major comfort improvement on Pokémon Centers and a series of quest repairs which could give the impression of a “broken” game.
After the progression fixes already arrived with versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.3, this update confirms that Game Freak And Omega Force closely monitor feedback. For the French players who had given up Pokémon Pokopia because of a frozen event or an impossible-to-complete request, 1.0.4 is clearly the right time to restart the save, before the next limited events which should take advantage of Pokémon Centers that are finally truly modular.
