Since its recent release, Pokémon Pokopia has enjoyed impressive success with Nintendo players. The spin-off of the famous franchise quickly established itself as one of the most popular titles on the console. In just four days after its launch, the game has already exceeded two million copies sold. Faced with this enthusiasm, Nintendo has decided to add new bonuses for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
Nintendo Switch Online features new Pokopia icons
Subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online service can now unlock several icons inspired by Pokémon Pokopia. In total, eight different icons are currently available. They represent various characters present in the game, including Ditto, Peakychu and Professor Tangrowth. These icons allow players to personalize their Nintendo profile directly on the console.
How to get the free rewards
To unlock these icons, players must use Platinum Points from the My Nintendo program. These points are free and can be obtained by completing various missions offered in the Nintendo Switch Online application on Nintendo Switch 2. “Redeem your #MyNintendo Platinum Points for personalized Pokémon Pokopia icons, available until April 1 at 6 p.m. PT on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. The icons will be renewed every week. » The first wave of icons is available from March 11 to March 18. A new selection will then be offered, which will allow players to collect several items linked to the world of Pokopia.
An important month for Nintendo Switch Online
The bonuses linked to Pokémon Pokopia are not the only new features of the Nintendo Switch Online service in March 2026. To celebrate Mario Day, Nintendo recently added several classic games to the catalog. Among them are Mario Tennis, Mario Clash and Mario vs Donkey Kong. These titles enrich the Virtual Boy and Game Boy Advance libraries accessible via subscription.
More Pokémon games coming to the service soon
Nintendo also confirmed that another Pokémon game will soon be joining Nintendo Switch Online. This is Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, a cult title originally released on GameCube. Over the years, this game has become one of the most sought after by collectors, particularly because of its high price on the second-hand market.
Its arrival on the subscription service should therefore allow many players to discover or rediscover it without having to purchase the physical version. With the success of Pokémon Pokopia and the upcoming arrival of new games in the catalog, Nintendo Switch Online seems to want to strengthen its offer for subscribers of the Switch and the Switch 2.
